Lindsay Weller

Lindsay was born and raised in Calgary and recently graduated from the University of Alberta with her BSc in Chemistry with specialization. During her undergraduate studies, she worked to optimize the green synthesis and performance of MOF HKUST-1. Following this work, she assisted the development of a MOF-focused laboratory experiment that is now running within an undergraduate chemistry course at UofA. In summer 2024, Lindsay was a DAAD RISE recipient and spent a summer in Germany developing hydrophobic MOFs for volatile organic compound detection in gas sensors. Outside of research Lindsay enjoys hiking, crocheting, and travelling. She will begin her MSc in Chemistry with the Shimizu group in September.
